Hi, I am a psychotherapist specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Experiential Psychodynamic Practices, and Queer Affirmative Counselling Practice (QACP). I received my formal education and training in the UK where I worked as a brain injury rehabilitation assistant for 2 years. I completed my primary CBT training from the Indian Association of CBT, fortifying it with Experiential Psychodynamic Practices and Gender, and Relationship Diversity training from private institutions in London. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while maintaining the human and personal connection. I apply tailored interventions based on each client’s individual needs while maintaining the integrity and authenticity of the therapeutic modality. I support individuals with anxiety, depression, adult ADHD, relationship issues, lifestyle and behavioural stressors, in addition to fulfilling goals of self-discovery and personal growth.

My goal is to build anti-oppressive therapy approaches that foster equity, inclusivity, and empowerment for all.

FAQ

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I have experienced the transformative power of therapy done right first-hand in my own life. I truly believe that real growth comes from looking inwards and learning to align our actions with our goals and as a therapist I aim to help clients with just that!
After a long career in research, I moved to the practice of psychotherapy to see these ideas come to life and guide the progress and triumphs of others like me.

I got you. I understand how hard it is to take this step. But it’s completely worth it. Therapy is a journey that might make you laugh, bring you to tears, stir deep reflection, and sometimes lead you to sit with silence and pain. Through it all, I will be right by your side. Together, we’ll explore, introspect, and uncover your true self, even challenging long-held beliefs when necessary.

I will encourage you to start with telling me about yourself and what brings you to therapy. We will discuss the presenting problems and your expectations from the process. I might ask some detailed questions to determine specific issues if needed. This is an opportunity for you to understand how therapy works so you can ask any and all questions that come to mind. The majority of the session will involve you telling me what has been on your mind, your concerns, and anything else you feel comfortable in sharing. We will end by discussing a way forward. I may set some tasks for you to complete between sessions – like reflecting on your goals, which we will eventually discuss and cultivate collaboratively.
